Vita Logic is a line of clinically-formulated dietary supplements (developed by a medical doctor and naturopathic physician) to target the consumers’ nutritional needs for specific life issues.
The products were formulated with five goals in mind: First, to better serve the public; second, to create formulas that innovate, not duplicate; third, to prove efficacy based on scientific data from well-conducted studies; fourth, to respect consumer cost while remaining environmentally conscious; and fifth, to deliver a health message through education. The formulas are sold to health food stores, integrated pharmacies and practitioners.
Each formula is compatible with any of the Vita Logic multis, which create a synergistic whole that is “greater than the sum of its parts.” This allows for lower doses of each nutrient and reduces a duplication of ingredients, while maintaining optimum synergy among the nutrients.
Daily Extra is the flagship multivitamin/mineral from Vita Logic, their first product, which launched 20 years ago. All Vita Logic formulas that followed were designed to be taken with Daily Extra or another quality multivitamin/mineral. Daily Extra provides 75 mg B-complex, methylcobalamin vitamin B12, 800 IU of vitamin D3, a food base of antioxidant-rich spices (turmeric, ginger, cinnamon and rosemary), berries, bee pollen and royal jelly. Daily Extra is available with or without iron. Daily Extra is an easy-to-use once daily. The newer two-daily multivitamin/mineral comes in smaller tablet sizes to either divide the dose for children or to make it easier to swallow for sensitive folks.
Osteo Protect and Osteo Protect Plus! are complete calcium formulas with necessary “cofactors.” Four tablets provide 1000 mg calcium. The newer version to Osteo Protect (bestseller for over 10 years) is Osteo Protect Plus! , which includes vitamin K2.
Vita Logic was founded by a husband-and-wife team, Duke Liberatore and Jan McBarron, MD, ND in 1994. Duke Liberatore was the owner of the Peachtree health food stores in Georgia and Alabama. He was profoundly aware of consumer trends in supplements. Dr. McBarron was a busy practitioner and oversaw product formulations. What started with the formulation of the Daily Extra grew into a brand with over three dozen specialty formulas designed to target the extra nutritional needs of specific organs and body systems. They teamed up on their radio show, “Duke and the Doctor,” which became the top-rated health talk show in the nation for two decades. Dr. McBarron was awarded “Clinician of the Year” in 2010 by the Natural Products Association.
